A Rough Week

Sorry I haven't updated in a while, it's been a pretty fucked up week.

About 2 hours after my last post, I had a run in with a couple of proxies. Now, it's all well and good to act the hard man online and say that you can fight these guys off no problem, like I've seen a couple of people doing, but the fact of the matter is that they don't think like we do any more. They aren't afraid of you, and have a high tolerance for pain. Also, they tend to be armed in some way. So riddle me this; how exactly are you supposed to win in a fight against someone who ignores almost all pain? They prioritise their orders over their own safety. This makes them more dangerous than most of us could ever be.

So I did the smart thing, and ran. They managed to grab Betty before I got away, which kind of pissed me off. But I managed to lose them in the end, which is the main thing.

That night I was pretty reluctant to sleep without Betty standing guard, but eventually I nodded off. Rookie error, I know. For clarity's sake, I'll elaborate a little. When I dozed off I was on the roof of the San Jaime hospital in Torrevieja, southern Spain. It's a tall building, and was a nightmare to climb without being spotted by any of the staff, so I figured I was pretty safe up there. When I woke up, I was on the floor in the middle of the Room of a Hundred Columns, in Güell Park, Barcelona. I felt sick to my stomach, my head was pounding, and I was really disoriented. I knew that I'd been moved, but it took me a while to figure out where exactly I was. Now, Güell Park is a surreal place at the best of times, but waking up there with Slender Sickness when you fell asleep about 600km away from it, well that's just plain scary.

I checked my phone, and it had been 3 days since I "nodded off".

I got my bearings and made my way outside, and you won't believe who was waiting for me out there. It was my old friend Betty! But it looked like the proxies had been busy little bees. There were numbers scribbled across her torso, seemingly random. I don't know what they mean, but I've seen crap like this on other peoples Blogs. I was never any good with codes though. I just can't understand them. If anyone has any ideas what this means, let me know.

"97 116 104 105 101 118 101 115 115 116 105 108 108 108 105 112 115"

Anyway, I grabbed Betty and moved as fast as I could (which wasn't particularly fast, I felt really rough. Is it just me, or does it get worse every time?). Then I just kept going. I haven't stopped for more than 5 minutes since then, hence the fact that I haven't updated. So yeah, I'm still alive, I've moved on to a different country again, and I think that they might have lost my trail.Fingers crossed.

I'll post something a bit more useful tomorrow, this was just a quick message to let anyone who cares know that I'm still around. Until then...

Eyes open, guard up.

Kzra out.

  1. Afraid I can't help there. I'm not the best at codes either ;_;

    Glad to hear you're still breathing though. May be disoriented and elsewhere but...better than the alternative right?

    1. Agreed. But things seem to be going to shit again here. On my way to Morocco as I type this. I'll explain in my next post, but right now I've got some planning to do if I'm going to pull this one off. How's stuff at your end?
